New exchange

Post by starchild202 »

It seems we haven't done an exchange in a while. Is anyone interested? Any ideas? Maybe a pin cushion exchange? Or a bookmark exchange?

I like the idea of a pin keep, a needlebook, or a pincushion. :-)

I've never done a pin keep or needle book, that might be fun to try. . .

How about a Biscornu? Those are beautiful pincushions, and there are a lot of free instructions available for making them. I found a basic tutorial on bisconu at: http://www.prettyimpressivestuff.com/biscornu.htm" target="_blank. These can be stitched from simple patterns or a more ornate hardanger, such as the series of free Biscornu patterns from the Victoria Sampler.

I would be interested in joining a pinkeep exchange with a seasonal theme like fall or winter. From past experience I know that not everyone celebrates holidays like Halloween or Thanksgiving, but everyone the world over watches the seasons come & go :)

Hmmm. . . There have been some good suggestions. Halloween is my favorite holiday and it is coming up soon, but I did a Halloween biscornu exchange last year. However, I wouldn't mind doing one again. Would anyone be interested in that?

I came up with something! What about a fantasy biscornu? I am going to post the rules and such in a new topic and if you are interested please join it! Eep! I am kind of excited!

Sounds great to me! I like that better than Halloween - just need to figure out how to do fantasy!
