Hello - new here and new to stitching!

Hi!

I'm a knitter of many many years and I've always been absolutely convinced that I couldn't stitch at all - needle and thread is one of life's great mysteries for me!! But then, my friend sat me down and made me stitch and now I've nearly finished my first ever (in the kitchen - a pretty little picture of a girl washing dishes!)

So - thought I'd introduce myself - I hope to get tips and hints here - it's all very new and I'm still a little surprised and a touch overwhelmed!

That friend of yours must've seen a hidden talent in you. Welcome to the forums, glad to have you. Do you have a picture of your stitching? Would love to see it. Any ideas what you're next step is? A bookmark perhaps?

Hi Annie, welcome to the forum! This is a great place for help and ideas, so don't be afraid to ask any questions, there are some very knowledgable and wonderful stitchers here. Funny isn't it - I am always amazed at the things that knitters make as I've always been convinved that I could never follow suit. I have a knitting crazy friend, maybe if she taught me............ no - one obsession is enough @rotfl: !
