News Years Resolution #1

Post by Rose »

Image

I am starting on my New Year's Resolutions. This is how far I got before I set it aside years ago and forgot it. I am making it for the lady who taught my kids in elementry school. She is retiring this year and I want to present it to her at the retirment dinner they will have.

Here is the progress I made on the resolution this week, not as far as I would have liked to get. Way to much running for dorm room stuff and more paper work to fill out. Uniforms to adjust and time with kids before we are without them again.

I'm amazed you are finding time to stitch at all.

Still not getting all that much time to stitch but there was a bit of progress this week. My daughter started school and really likes it. She came home for the week-end but was excited to go back. She is not thrilled with the location lots of sirens in the evenings and during the night. Makes it hard to sleep since she is used to out in the country were we live. My son is only here until the end of the week so, getting in as much time with him as possible. Next week will be much quieter so maybe more stitching time.

Here is some more progress on my resolution. We are officially empty nested so I am interested to know if this means I have more time to stitch.

Oooh, it's really beautiful. And I like the text, too... :D (in case I didn't tell you before, and you didn't guess: I am a teacher)

I shall look forward to following the progress of this and I'm sure the lady you give it to will be thrilled to receive such a gift.

I'm an ex-teacher and I would treasure a gift like this, Rose. I still keep all sorts of bits and bobs my pupils have given me in the past.
