As not everyone likes reading blogs I thought it might be a good idea to put updates of my stitching here as well.
This is how she looked when I picked up my needle again after a year of inactivity due to wedding preparations. This picture was taken somewhere in week 43 (last week of October).
This is how she looked last night
If I keep this up, she might be finished by the end of the year...
Looking forward to be working on something else... But have to finish this one first (orders from DH).

You've made a lot of progress! I find it much easier to keep stitching on something the closer you get to finishing it. I'm sure you'll have it done in no time.

Lovely work. I really like Lanarte designs and this one is coming along really well

Thank you for your kind comments...
I finished the page I was working on last night, it took me all night to stitch only the metallics I just hate metallics... it's this thick thread, not like normal cotton you have to split... I had trouble threading my needle (I even tried a threader but didn't help me much). Also, the thread frays easily
Anyway, here's a close-up of my progress
Metallics can be tricky. A lot of members use something called Thread Heaven which is supposed to make it easier to sew with the metallics. I haven't used it but just purchased some for the next time. You rub the thread over it to make it stitch more smoothly. Your piece looks fantastic though so you have something lovely to show for the misery it gave you last night. Great update. Can't wait for the next one.

Very beautiful update!! Metallics definitely are much more tedious to use than normal floss, but as Carole has said, a lot of us do use Thread Heaven with great success!! I just finished a project that had quite a bit of metallic braid and with the use of my Thread Heaven, the stitching with the metallics went pretty well!!
Keep stitching!!

I had an extra day added to the weekend so had a lot of time to do some stitching.
Here's my update after the weekend and as you can see, i've finished the bottom half
and started on a new page in the left corner
I'll take a picture with my camera next time... the lighting isn't all that good and my phone doesn't have flash...
Great update. It is really looking lovely. You made a lot of progress. I am looking forward to your next update. And clicking on the photo takes you to Photobucket which gives you the larger photo and the detail really shows up. Very good stitching.
