His Eye Is on the Sparrow

Post by CuriousKitty »

A project for my grandmother. I gave her the list of hymns the book had, and she said out of all of them, this was her favorite.

The color scheme:

When completed, it should look something like this:

I did change one thing already though, the word "should" in the second set of lines is up by one row, instead of weirdly sitting one row lower than eevery other word in the line.

And it wasn't until I got into the 4th line I realized I had been doing 3 threads per back-stitch and not two. Doesn't seem to make any difference, however. So I think it's fine.

Just one word to start with:

Then a little more:

And a little more:

And current progress:

Beautiful stitching. :applesauce: :applesauce: Love the colour as well. I think having three strands of thread makes it more effective, actually.

I'll probably do the small stitches inside the words in maybe 2 strands because I forgot I'd have to fill them in, and three will probably obscure the back stitching.

The titles has a ton of it, so when I get there, I'll just cross stitch first, then do the back-stitching for that.
