Borders

Post by Rose »

Hello boys and girls (he he) I am in need of some help. My son has asked me to stitch him a quote from Theadore Rooseveldt. He has picked the font he wants and how he would like it spaced he has also asked that I put a border on it and that is were it is getting tricky. He would like it to be branches and leaves some thing distinguished, and he wants it to be on opposing corners . Like were it is just framing the corner area and half way across the top and sides. I have looked in all my free patterns, most all my books, and I am trying to tackle my pile of Mags but that is very slow. I was wondering if anyone had seen anything in there travels around the internet. It can be free or I will purchase it if need be. I am in no hurry as my Resolution is going to be finished first but if you come across anything would you let me know. I really would appreciate it. Thanks.

Have a look in the Motif library, although you can probably get ideas from the other categories, too: http://www.dunmanidesigns.co.uk/

Thanks for all the links. I have forwarded about 8 on to my son so that he can have a look and see if any of them are going to work with his ideas. I think he maybe difficult because the way he kinda described I am thinking he wants real colors not so much the silhouettes. So I am still going to keep looking.

I have bought the pattern and the material last night. I got the material from Silkweaver. I have to really get going with my New Years Resolution as I told him I have to finish that before I start anything new.
