HAED Sistine Chapel April 11th update - Theresa

When HAED released their version of the Sistine Chapel on January 10th, I had decided to make that an April 1st start. I started at the stroke of midnight and had a very busy stitching Sunday. By the time I finished for the day, I'd completed the first 10 rows of page 1 plus a couple of stitches in row 11, total 802 stitches - all confetti. I'm stitching this piece one over one full cross on 28ct Forget Me Not Blue Jobelan. Right now it doesn't look like much, but the detail will develop as I progress.

great start. Looking forward to the updates. Are you planning on doing this in your regular rotation? or working on it until you are ready to move to another one?

I started using a 10 hour rotation at the beginning of February, following the suggestions in this article http://www.shakespearespeddler.com/nomoreufos.html. I stitch each piece for at least 10 hours before moving to the next. I may go over 10, as I did when doing the face of HAED's Angel with Iris recently, but once I move on, the others get their 10 hours before coming back to it. Since I'm doing several BAPs, I'm keeping the number of active WIPs low, and it works for me.

The Sistine Chapel joins that rotation, which currently includes Gigi R's Belles-Lettres D (my anniversary sampler), HAED's Angel with Iris by Nadia Strelkina, Pelin Tezer's Berlin Work Sampler, and now HAED's Sistine Chapel.

I use that system as well although doing the Celtic Knot for a friend at the moment I have relaxed it a little and seeing all your starts on this one I might end up doing another 10 hours on it a little out of where it should be in rotation.

Telling myself that if I push on and complete the Celtic Knot (which I'm hating and I need to do two!!) then my reward will be finish a page on Sistine chapel!!!

I'm not as patient as the others and started mine at the end of Feb.

I've also started from the bottom as I found it easier to deal with the fabric that way until I can get a scroll frame that will fit it properly.

I really do feel silly now! I do remember you starting yours, but totally lost track of the fact that there are 3 of you taking on such a fantastic project
