For those of you who use the X stitcher app to keep track of your DMC floss, I learned at the Stitching Group I went to last night (lots of fun and very interesting. I will post about it later. I didn't sound dumb because of all the things I've learned here. Thank you) that there is another one for overdyed threads (Weeks Dye Works and Gentle Arts Sampler Threads). I also saw one in the iTunes App Store for HDF inventory and one for Crescent Colors. Each is $1.99 so they aren't expensive. I got the one for WDW and the GAST threads since it seems like I have rapidly been collecting these. I got the WDW for my other two Lizzie Kates and have a strong feeling I will be getting more. Though I also got two CC threads, I didn't get an app for that. I'm sure these apps are also available for smart phones, but these are so easy on my iPod. I was wondering how I was going to be keeping track. Now I have a new toy.

I use http://www.pandahobby.com" target="_blank to store all my patterns and threads, unlike the ones listed it has no limits. I store my DMC my RG, Anchor, etc all on the same program, which also cross references my in tock with required for thi project and gives me a printable shopping list. It's completely free to boot, until you reach a certain number of projects, then it costs. A one time payment, don't remember what it is though and it's temporarily offline while it moves servers. Doesn't work on apple though, but is way better than anything else out there.
And once you get everything in it takes less time keeping it updated than sorting your threads for a new project without it. I move a project onto my shopping list as I'm nearing the end of my current one, and instantly I can see what I have and what I need.
Diana, I used to do it by hand but we had a thread quite a while back and Raine mentioned this app that she uses. What is nice about it is that it has a shopping list, so you can see what you need and its with me when I go into the store. It took a long time to transfer the paper inventory to the iPod but now its easy to maintain. Since my WDW stash is just getting started and isn't too likely to get as big as DMC it will be easy to keep it up to date.
Angel, I have a mac so your program wouldn't work for me, though I know I would love it since I love fiddling with computers.
