Derwentwater sunset design Now Finished

Post by cristaltipps »

I got this from one of the old magazines my MIL gave me and fell in love with it, have been doing it along with my castle and stag WIP's they have a few in the series and my mom is buying me a second kit to make a pair for my birthday. I have chosen the other one that's done in similar shades to this as I felt they "went" together the best

Image

I swapped the 16 count suggested aida for 32 count evenweave 2 over 2 to keep dimensions, as with large unstitched parts I wanted a smoother type look and will use the same material for the second one.
I can not think at the moment what either of them are called though! will have a root through and put it on later

Sam :)

This is finished but I will not be framing till the other one is done as well, sorrry about the rubbish picture lol but i was dead excited to complete it :D

It was not untill I put the 2 row border in the outside that it really came together for me, but I really like the look and feel of it and can't wait to start the next one

I really love this; brings fond memories of time spent in Lakeland over the years.
Your choice of fabric just right with those soft colours. Thank you for posting this.
