I received this fabric and it looks NOTHING like the pic...

I ordered Silkweaver "Golden Promise" and instead of being a lovely golden beige, it"s a pee-yellow!

Does anyone have any ideas of what might look good on this?

WOW, that fabric does transition from a beige-ish to a very bright-ish yellow. That's what happens when fabric is hand-dyed, each one is unique and different. (Like a snow-flake, I guess)

It looks similar to autumn leaves, maybe an autumnal design with denser stitching over the areas you dislike?

It looks like you may have received 'Goldspinner' - at least that's what it looks like to me after having a peek at their site.

I think something autumn or halloween would look good on this.

Have you contacted the company and confirmed the the correct fabric was sent??? I know that last year I ordered a fabric and that the improper fabric was sent to me they were very sorry and I recieved the proper fabric and they told me to keep the wrong fabric as an apology.

Sadly, I've seen several posts from stitchers who have been disappointed with the fabrics they've received from Silkweavers. I had considered getting one of their holiday specials that looked really good on the monitor until a stitcher posted her dismay with the piece she had received. Silweavers would not issue a refund, but ultimately she was given credit toward another purchase in reponse to her complaint.

I emailed them and they offered to send me another if I sent it back. I doN,t see how they could even TRY to pass this off as something that was represented as a soft golden beige on the site!

I believe that Needleworkers Delight who now market the Silkweaver fabrics are also doing the dyeing.But don't quote me on that as I may be wrong.
