Morning Lake *updated 5-19*

Post by Jennifer78 »

Here is my current project. Only 5x7 but the biggest I have ever done before so its huge to me :D . This one has alot of firsts for me this is my first kit, first time blending threads and working with this small of a count of fabric. So far I am loving it the chart is absolutely beautiful and a joy to work with. I started this the night of April 30 after a very bad day. I lost my little furbaby after 13 wonderful years with us so this is in remembrance and helps me to deal with the emotions of the loss as we learn to go on without him.

This is what it is supposed to look like:

and this is where I am after 2 days working on it:

I'm so sorry for the loss of your furbaby  That is so hard. I hope stitching will give you something to occupy your mind while your heart heals. I lost my 13.5 YO pup almost a year ago. She was suffering with cancer for about 5 weeks and I started crocheting and afghan a few days before we lost her. It really gave me comfort because she always loved to lay on my afghans and I know she would've loved this one, too.
Your project is beautiful and is coming along wonderfully so far!

I am so sorry that your lovely fur baby has left you but what a wonderful way to remember him. The colours in it are gorgeous and there is a great feeling of peace about it too.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I'm slowly going along on this when I can catch some time to stitch. Here is my update almost ready to start on the boat now :) It has been wonderful watching the picture emerge as I go the colors are amazing and the reflections on the water are stunning when you step back to look at it.
