This snowy owl was meant for my Aunty's 60th birthday, but sadly she passed away just prior so it has taken a while for me to feel up to finishing it off, hopefully it will be finished soon and I will frame with a plaque in memory of her.
This one is five in a row, and I finished this after my son was born last year, I had started it 2 years prior with my first pregnancy, but we lost the baby early in pregnancy so again I found it hard to finish. Now it is and it's ready to be framed!
Big projects always have a way of carrying so much of the emotion we deal with when stitching it.. Both pieces are lovely and I hope each will give you comfort when you when think of those moments.

They are both lovely pieces. I hope you finish the owl and it brings you good memories. The kitties are very cute and and I'm glad you were able to finish it.

Am heading off on our first family holiday tomorrow (my son is nearly 14 months) and will be taking the owl with me, will post an update when we get back....
That snowy owl is gorgeous and I always like things with cats. It is definitely true that large projects like these have emotions built in. Good idea with the remembrance plaque.
