HAED~ Mini Vanity update 9/29 pg 4

So I've started another project, and I'm aiming to have this one finished by Christmas for a friends daughter. It's mini vanity. I started it three days ago. It's stitch on 14 count oatmeal fabric, four over one half stitch and I like the coverage I'm getting. The sparkles are full 2 over 1 full cross (tried a million and one times to get kreinik #4, two strands folded in half, which would be four strands with a loop, through a needle hole. Finally have up and used one strand folded in half, full stitch. Looked a lot better full stitch than half stitch and you can't really tell).

I'm really looking forward to seeing this stitched up. the full set of them have been a favorite of mine for years, ever since I saw them on DevArt. You've made a great start so far.

Great start. Tenting will certainly make it go much faster so you have a really good chance of meeting your goal. It is a lovely design and going to make a fantastic gift. What a lucky girl she is going to be.

Thanks everyone. There are currently only two full stitches in place, and you can't really see those two since they aren't sitting next to each other and I didn't use flash, so the sparkly didn't show up.

I hope that when you use the Kreinik the next time you don't have to try so often to get it through the hole

Just a quick update. Half stitching is making this chart go by so fast.

Wow, you really aare making great progress on this. I haven't tried tent stitching for an entire project before as I quite like the way the crosses look, but you're making me quite tempted to give it a try.
