Floss organizer

Post by MnLtWspr »

Hi there :) I need some advice. Does anyone know where I can buy a wooden floss organizer? Not the plastic bobbins or anything. One of the ones with all the holes in it. I've been looking for a good quality wooden one with lots of holes and isn't in a shape like a heart or an owl. I've looked on Herrschners and the Stitchery but they only have that plastic one with exchangable label cards. I've also made my own which came out pretty decent but we don't have a round dremel tool (I improvised by rolling up a piece of sandpaper and putting it into the drill) so it's not completely smooth in the holes and little pieces catch the threads now and then. So what I'm looking for is a wooden floss organizer with lots of holes and is in a basic rectangle shape. Anybody know where I can get one?

Hi and welcome

Not sure where you would need it shipped to, but sew and so in the UK do a range of wooden craft boxes and will ship worldwide

There's also this option, though I'm not sure how far they would ship

If it is just a sort of oblong card with holes in that you want made from wood you would probably be cheaper asking a joiner or diy friend, wouldn't take long and you get the size you want too.

I knew I had seen these somewhere.
Maybe this shop? http://needleworkshow.com/cgi-bin/general.pl?507" target="_blank
Or this one? http://needleworkshow.com/cgi-bin/general.pl?534" target="_blank
The links to each shops full range is on the top of the page.

Or this one at Sudberry House has a little needle magnet on the handle.
