I think the best thing for new people, are the kits. I have been cross stitching for 30 years, and I still use the kits from time to time. The Dimension Gold collections are very pretty. You can use a simple kit, and step up as you get better.

No need to apologize. After you've been here a while you will learn the ins and outs of the Forum. It is a pretty easy place to navigate around in, for the most part. At least easier than other forums I have been in.
