Neauveau Dragonflies.*It's FINISHED*

Post by mauveme »

Have been interested in doing something in Art Neauveau and here I had one in my stash for a while  So I started it last nite. I love the "stained glass" look that it has. (and I really hate this new photobucket

:applesauce: Very pretty start! Will this be all black and white or does color come in later? One of the prettiest dragonflies we have around here is a black and white one. Can't wait for them all to start flitting around again.

There is going to be lots of colour.
My BF lives in New Brunswick and she can't wait for the dragonflies to come because they eat all the blackflies. And they are huge too (both the blackflies and the dragonflies  ) Apparently the dragonflies down where she lives were introduced into the area because they eat the blackflies.

Disaster, narrowly averted (I hope). I finally got myself together and stopped making mistakes  :x: The :anotherfrog: has taken a hiatus and is leaving me alone. However, I just couldn't seem to get one stitch in straight, it kept going up and down instead of /..There was a slit between the two holes   . So I cut a patch and put it behind the area and stitched over it,, hopefully it will hold, then I decided to put the colour in that area to secure the patch and make sure it would work. So far :x: :x: it seems to be ok. I didn't want to go any further until I was sure I wouldn't be wasting my time. And I don't think you can tell. It is going to be a pillow for my room so I will put an iron on stabalizer over the whole thing just to be sure.

Here is where the hole is situated.

Great update on this Linda!! I really do like this one a lot--do you know if it is still available or where I may try and locate it??? I definitely can't see where you've made the repair, so hopefully it will hold up perfectly for you!!! How pretty!! :applesauce:

Looking forward to seeing more colour soon :) And I I think the repair might be in the bottom left green bit, but I'm not sure, so it certainly can't be noticed unless you're looking carefully!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely update and :applesauce: the frog has vanished now. Good kicking. I honestly can't see where you have repaired it and i even got out my 'good' glasses and still can't see it so do keep going with this gorgeous one.

:applesauce: Lovely update. I hope the :ribbit: is gone for a very long while. I think it was Rose who suggested we need a :anotherfrog: bonfire to get rid of them. I can't see the hole at all and I enlarged the pic. Now you can have fun " coloring in all those lovely spaces. :applesauce:

Excellent solution to a nasty little hole! :applesauce:
Once you've done more colour and moved away from that area you'll have difficulty finding it!

It's going to be WONderful when it's finished.

Beautiful update and clever fix! I wouldn't have been able to tell there was a cut in the fabric if you hadn't said anything and I definitely can't see it now that it's all covered up.
