My adventures in hardangar - 6/12 update

Post by amyb »

I just got 2 bookmark kits from Nordic Needle today. There's a set of of four intended to teach hardangar, with the last one actually getting to the cutting. I like that the kits have the bookmark fabric already finished so all I have to do is stitch on them. I'm kinda excited!

They're gorgeous. And plenty of help to be had here on the forum if you are stuck with anything.

These look nice, and the gals from Nordic Needle know their hardanger. Hope you have a lot of fun with these.

Thanks! I forgot to mention, it's my first time working on evenweave. They used 20 ct Lugana for the fabric. I think I will never stitch on Aida again. Boy that's nice to work with!

Great job. I just ordered some of Mabel's patterns and some Laguna to try my hand at it. I hope mine come out as nice as yours did. I know they're not Mabel's but you did awesome on your first.

Mabel, the thread is Sullivans #5 pearl cotton, over dyed, Summer Mist. And when I get to the eyelets, I'll be using Sullivans #8 Ivory
