I am starting a new quick pattern. It is going to be a surprise for my daughter. She likes Tigger and I found a small one that I can whip up real quick and give to her. I hope she will like it.
Not a good picture but the next will be better.

Aren't those little quickie designs useful? I'm sure she'll love it!
Rose, I just remembered, I've got of those cover kits off a magazine which I'm keeping for whoever would like it, and it's a Tigger head (I've got Piglet and Pooh as well, but not Eeyore) which is described as a 'watercolour kit' -- the colours are much softer and it comes with a lovely mount with a picture of Pooh and Tigger and the text 'Big hearts deserve big hugs'. Would you like it for your daughter?
Wow Mabel that would be great. Does it come with the directions in the kit or is it like some of the other freebies and you have to get the directions out of the Mag. I would like to have it for her. I will send you a pm.

D'you know, I haven't actually checked -- I didn't get them attached to the magazines, I just got a whole bunch of them when I bought a job lot of mags on eBay. I think it's probably one of those 'chart-is-in-the-magazine' ones, in which case I'll see if I've got that particular mag, if not I think it would be doable to work from the photograph. It does come with aida and threads.
Hurray! I found the mags that go with the kits, so they are now complete kits with aida, threads, mount and chart. Rose has taken me up on the Tigger offer, but the other two are up for grabs if anyone would like them -- just send me a pm. You can have a look at them here -- the Pooh mount says 'Doing nothing together is what friends are good for' and the Piglet mount says 'Wondering is much more fun with two'.
I love cartoon characters they go so fast. I have got this far tonight as of 11 pm. Quite a difference from the confetti stitching on my leaves.
I would like to finish this over the week-end so she can take it back to school with her but I also want it to be a surprise so I am not sure how to do both. She is very nosey when I am stitching and likes to watch the progress.

I've considered something like that for my step-daughter (she particularly likes Eeyore), but I have a similar situation that she also likes to see what progress I'm making with my projects
Daz, why don't you do it at work or at night? Or do you work from home?

My eyes are getting tired and I don't want to give the any chance to come and get comfy. Here is a picture of how it is going.
You can't tell by the picture but the frame color is metallic Purple and the blocks are the florecent purple from DMC. Both take longer to work with due to the type of thread they are, but it really looks good in person.
