Nettie's Tiger

Well this is my follow up to the castle. While on holiday in May we visited a couple of zoos and I love big cats so my next project was easily inspired. I have already started it and will post a picture shortly.

Re: Nettie's Tiger
There is about thirteen colours so not too bad really. I am quite enjoying at the moment but I am thinking I may regret the black.
Re: Nettie's Tiger
The black can be a bit of a struggle at time but in the end the result is so great you just can believe it. I have done 3 projects the current one included in that number and although the black takes a bit more time I am alway well pleased with the finish.

Re: Nettie's Tiger
Lovely project, Nettie...and what a luck with only 13 colors! Black fabric will surely be nice with your design.
I have a pair of leopards as WIP which has taken a backseat for a while...it has 84 colors! I'm almost halfway through with it but I recently got bored...I hope I could get back to it soon...
...and now I'm thinking that I should have used a black fabric...oh my, goodness!
Anyway, goodluck with your project...will wait to see it's progress!

I'm sure you're going to love the black! It may be a little harder to work on the darker fabrics, but the end result will be SO worth it and I honestly think you'll be pleased you did it.

Re: Nettie's Tiger
I agree with threadbear, you'll question your sanity with the black whilst stitching but be so pleased with the results when you see the finished article-Is this a dmc deco design? I've just finished a tiger on black myself and planned to do this one(or one very very similar) to go with it but want to do lots of colourful ones for a while to give my eyes a rest!! Can't wait to see your progress!

I agree too, black is not too pleasant to work with but the finished article will be so lovely. The colours will stand out beautifully.
