Hello from Louisiana

Post by Derbygirl »

Hi everyone. My name is Sylvia. I've been stitching since I was at least 10 years old. I taught my girl scout troupe how to stitch when I was eleven. I'm so excited to stumble upon this board. I love to cross stitch. My favorite designers are Lizzie Kate, The Drawn Thread and Lavender and Lace. You all have me intrigued with HAED charts. I had to check them out. I'm interested in the Christmas freebie. I have a feeling my pocketbook will become lighter if I stay on this board very long!

I can assure you your pocketbook WILL get a lot lighter if you stick around, but you will also have a lot of fun :)

Hi, from your neighbor in Mississippi. :) I hope you check out the other awesome art-to-stitch sites aside from HaED, too. :)

I don't know where you are in LA, but if you're close, the LNS in Ocean Springs, MS is having a going-out-of-business sale underway now until February 22. There's some great deals to be had.

Oh, Sylvia, you can count on that! :-) We are a fantastic bunch of enablers.

Welcome from Colorado. I have family in Louisiana and paid my first visit to that state at Thanksgiving. I liked what I saw.

 From the woods in NE Florida! I had a BIL from Slidell but he passed away just after/because of 9/11 (a Homeland Security contractors accident). I've visited that way & really enjoyed a (don't be surprised if I misspell it) muffalato!

My stash has grown exponentially since joining the forum and would be massively huger if I hadn't discovered the joys of PDF charts. Much easier to store than the charts in one full file cabinet, which is good because I have had to increase the number of storage cabinets just to hold the fabrics and threads I have learned about. We love to encourage you in whatever you take on, big and/or small. Looking forward to getting to know you.
