Parking question

Post by DahliaDoll »

I'd like to try this technique and am wondering if these Dimensions Gold Petites would be a good project to try it on. Thanks for your input!

Those are cute. Not sure you'd actually need to "park" with those -- they look as if they use a reasonable number of colours. Parking really comes into its own when you are using lots of colours in a small space.

Having said THAT... it might be exactly right for perfecting the technique. So, why not?

I agree. I have done three of those and did not park, but there is absolutely no reason why you couldn't. If nothing else, it will get you used to marking your chart with where you parked and having floss dangling off the design.

Like Serinde said, parking really comes into its own when you have lots of colors with a lot of coverage.

I am currently sitching that pattern. parking is not worth the effort on this one. I have used parking but only when the piece is big enough to use a stand. holding a hoop or q snap and parking is just a mess.

Thanks for the advice! Guess I'll have to wait for the inspiration to start a different project. The ones I have planned for this year are pretty small.
