So today I have been trying out my new frame that I got the other day and I love it! However I would like to get one of the covers that a lot of people use and I have looked all around and I am having problems finding one. The only one I have managed to find is an 8 inch Q-snap one, however I have a 9 inch. Would the 8 inch fit on the 9 inch frame?
Making one myself would be out of the question - I hate sewing! Sounds strange I know, but its true! Also with no sewing machine, it would prove impossible and I can no longer ask my friend who always made me things like that that I wanted.
Can't say for absolute positive because I do not us the keepers but I think they are pretty stretch so I would think the extra inch would not be a problem.
I am sure others that actually use them will know better.

As unhelpful as I'm going to be.. I'll say it depends.
I have 4-5 different covers for my various frame configurations. One is tight, one is super loose. As they've all been hand made -though purchased in an LNS- there's quite a bit of leeway in finish size. But you know how it is when you hope you've get extra room.. that's when you pick one that's a bit undersized.
If it's sized properly, I don't think an 8x8 cover will fit on a 9x9 frame.
Overall dimension on an 8x8= 32 inches
Overall dimension on a 9x9 = 36 inches

Actually, that was indeed very helpful! My thinking was the same as Rose in that its only an inch to begin with when actually all the sides are larger, not just one.
I just went to look at the other size options thinking that an 11 by 11 inch one would be fine and it should be possible to just make the material slightly smaller. But I just found that they do a 8 by 11 inch cover which would make it 38 inches. I am tempted to order it as from how I have seen them designed, it wont be a bit problem that its not square. Would this be correct thinking?

Yep, I do have a R&R one. Its only all I can find are Q-snap covers. It strange as you would think even someone on Etsy or somewhere like that would do it.
I wanted the extra inch whereas now I wished I had either got the 8 inch or gone up to the 11. But then I am in love with it and find it the perfect size! I think I will end up getting the 8 by 11 inch cover and if it is slightly too big, making it that little smaller will be a lot easier than making a small one bigger. But I will have a few days to think about it.

That is rather unfortunate that the R & R ones are slightly different. I would likely buy a cover for an 8 x 11 like you've suggested---it really shouldn't be that difficult to make it smaller---just be careful not to make it too much smaller

Thought I would update just in case anyone else has this problem.
The 8 by 11 inch fits the 9 by 9 inch perfectly! I thought it would be too big and I guess it is slightly big, however there is no need to adjust the size of it at all! So pleased that I didn't get the 8 by 8 size!
