Cat's Eyes SAL - Now completed!!

Post by Midge »

I hope you don't mind me adding my SAL.
Cat's eyes is a Janlynn counted kit which will measure 9" x 12" when completed.
It features 5 cats on a dark background. I have been at it just over a week.
I will update in about a month.

This was a scan rather than a photo and the dirty stain isn't there in real life.

The cat is lovely but I bet it must be difficult to stitch all that black background!

Lovely cat, he's really cute, can't wait to see the rest. They could have been nice and given you black fabric though!

I don't understand some designers that think you have to stitch all of the background yourself. :thinks: This is a lovely pattern though. Do we really have to wait a whole month for progress pictures :(

Wow! You've got alot done in just a week. It is going to be beautiful I'm sure. Do you stitch the background as you go or wait until you're finished? Also is the background one solid color or a variation of shades? If it is all solid I'd wait til the cats are finished and then do the background when concentrations isn't needed as much. But that is just my opinion. If there are multiple shades, it's a whole different story. It's going to look great regardless. Good work so far :applesauce: .

Thanks everyone. Here is a pic of the completed piece. As you can see the background is 1/2white and 1/2 black.

It has taken me about 20hrs so far and there is plenty of work to do.
TW is consigned to the spare room 'cos it is just too complicated at the moment - I need to just stitch and de-stress not be in a blind panic about thread combinations

I agree, it is quiet artistic with the two colour background.

By the way
I hope you don't mind me adding my SAL.
- what a question? This is what we love the most! Please, post updates as often as you can!
