Amazing haul!!!!!!

Last week a lady posted in our Exchange Section. She had just moved to California and decided that with her eyesight failing and wanting to spend more time on her other crafts.....spinning and knitting....... that she wanted to unload her cross stitch stash. she said she did not want to post it so anyone in the Northern California area could have it for free. :shock: :shock: Free!!!!!! That was something that sounded good. I was thinking maybe a box or 2 of stuff. Oh know I went over today and she filled my car, trunk, back seat the whole thing. Wow I was shocked at all of the stuff she gave me. Of course it was 3 hours over an 3 back but I will say it is more then worth it.

I have not had the time to really look at all the goodies but what a wonderful pile I have to play with. 2 stands 5 or 6 binders of complete magazines and that is just skimming the top. Tomorrow I am going to really dig in and see what all I have in there. I feel like I have had the most amazing fortune!!!!!! :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Poor woman having to feel she can't carry on. What a terrible shame.

On the other hand - you lucky thing, Rose. Hope you'll do something nice for her.

What a generous lady and I hope that she still enjoys her other crafts for years.

Right now I am just sort of pulling it all out and putting it into piles of like items. There is a ton of stuff and it was all mixed and matched in the boxes. I can understand as she was moving across country. So as of now my stitching room is a disaster. Here are some pics of what is there
Scroll bars and parts for the stands that you saw in the first pictures.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!! just amazing---those pictures really show how much you did get---fabric galore---love the evenweave and linen collection :wub: :drool:
The aida looks great too, as do all of the other wonderful finds---as for the last item(s) I have no clue as to what it could be?????

I felt bad when you said she was unloading all her xstitch stuff because of poor eyesight, but I felt better when you said she wanted to focus her time on other hobbies.. .so Woohoo! what a haul!

I spotted those in the first picture with the frames and wondered what they are. I have no idea, but when someone tells us, I'm sure we'll thump our foreheads and say "Of course!"

You're are the second person I know who was given a huge stash over the weekend!!!! My friend was given so much she had to make a second trip with her car to get it all home. You are both very lucky and I know you will put it all to good use.
