This is an x-stitch I'm going to be doing for my grandma's christmas gift.
I will do my FIRST stitching of it tomorrow (July 1, 2008) and I plan to be finished with it by the last day of July.
The other day I sorted the colors, it took me THREE hours! There are TONS of colors (over 25) but I think I'm going to add some of my own in place of some of the lighter purples. My grandma loves purple, so I thought for some of the flowers I might use a little darker purple in some of the spots. I'm not sure yet. Hopefully, if I do that, I won't end up having to frog cause it looks icky. lol So, wish me luck on that!
This is the package. It is a VERY LARGE x-stitch. it is 18 inches by 16 inches.
This is what the finished project is supposed to look like

I will give a weekly update on my progress, with pics!
P.S. in case some of you didn't read my introductory, I ONLY do stamped x-stitch. I am dislexic, and I've tried counted x-stitch many times, and I've ended up doing a TON of frogging because my dislexia is so bad. At least this way, I am always on the same track and I can keep track easily.
It's hard to always have to do stamped though, cause I always see so many nice counted charts I'd love to tackle!

This is going to look really beautiful when complete. I love the printed background too. Good luck it will be hard to finish this as quickly as you want to, but I'll look forward to seeing your SAL thread on your progress.

Thanks for putting the picture on, I always thought that stamped meant the old fashioned ones that have crosses stamped on the fabric....never to old to learn.
What a beautiful pattern, im really looking forward to seeing this progress. I always wondered to about a stamped kit, thanks for showing us all pictures.
What discipline I wish I could set myself deadlines like that. What a lovely picture too I have often admired this company's designs. Good luck can't wait for progress pics!
Good for you, setting a deadline. I always try to, and occansionaly I make it. I think it helps me keep focused in. Just remember to give yourself a little room in case "life" steps in.
I love the pattern you've chosen. Honestly, like Rosemary I thought stamped only meant the x's stamped out on the pattern. But the fabric and design are beautiful. This is going to be lovely.
A beautiful project. Good luck with it. Your grandma will be happy, I am sure!
