Hello! New here!

Post by TerriGtoo »

Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. My name is Terri. I am 53 and live in Wisconsin. Married to a great guy from Glasgow, Scotland since 1997. No human kids but we have a very cute, spoiled Himmy girl. An obnoxious parrot, and multitudes of fish ranging from bettas to cichlids. I have been stitching for 30 years, (add another 10 to that if you include my childhood of stitching stamped pillowcases, tablecloths and toaster covers!)
I enjoy stitching peacock related designs, Himalayan cats, horses, florals, victorian houses and other buildings. I am currently working two HAEDs......80% done with "Cats of Spring" and 10% into Mascheraris Muse.
I have two smaller designs going as well.
normally I put in about three hours a night during the week, and stay up Friday and Saturday nights till 3 am or so stitchihg and watching my paranormal shows. (Or if that fails...I Love Lucy reruns. LOL
I along with several hundred others lost our jobs two months ago, as the company was ripped up and sold off to the highest bidders, so my stitching time has increased in leaps and bounds and I can stay up every night til all hours. Will have to start looking soon however!

I really, really, really :-) would like to participate in a 14ct aida round robin. I have close to a dozen or so under my belt that finished successfully.if anyone knows of any starting soon, please let me know. Domestic or International is fine.

That's me. Feel free to ask questions!
Please forgive any typos.
Off to stitch!

Terri

 Hi Terri and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I have many fond memories of Wisconsin as I went to the University in Madison many many long years ago (during the 60's when it was a pretty active place with a very very bad football team). Glad that you found us and though I'm sorry to hear about your job, it has given you lots more stitchy time. I hope you will post pictures of your work for us to see. We love pictures. I stitch a lot (probably too many) HAEDs and have finished two (a mini and a QS) and would love to see your "Cats of Spring" as I am especially fond of cat cross stitch patterns. I am about 2/3 of the way done on mini Shiver Meow Timbers also designed by Melissa Dawn.
Looking forward to getting to know you!

Carole
