Hello!

Post by Snuggs »

Hi. I'm totally new to x-stitch so I thought it best to join a forum since I know I'll need help. I was shopping and I saw a pattern that matched my kitchen so I picked it up. It was words on a chalkboard. I'm not sure if that was a good idea for an absolute beginner to start with black fabric but I made it through. Now I'm working on a small, greeting card sized pattern and I'm all over the place. I think I've read too many opinions, tried to incorporate all of them and confused myself  I think I'm on the right track now, and I look forward to learning from all of you.

Hello & welcome from cold, wet & windy North Wales. Hope you enjoy belonging to the forum as everyone is friendly. Also hope the weather is better where you liveas it is icy cold, windy & wet here at the moment. Did have sunshine last week though. Happy cross stitching :D

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina (where the weather this week looks like it will be a lot more pleasant than what lavenderbee is dealing with though her's is definitely an incentive for staying inside and stitching ). And welcome to the wonderful world of cross stitching! Ask any questions you have. Someone here is likely to know the answer or have a good idea of where to go to find the answer. I hope you will post pictures of your work. We love pictures! And don't forget to check our different sections. The Glossary is filled with all kinds of information and helps to explain a lot of the expressions, slang, and abbreviations that we use. I had stitched for 20+years before joining the forum but was by myself so I spent a lot of time with the glossary. But don't be afraid if you can't find something. Just ask.

Looking forward to meeting you

Carole
