You've done some amazing crochet projects! I've only ever done it once, when I was having my first baby and it was just the most basic baby blanket ever!
I've never attempted it since.

I love the punch needle Panda. He's lovely.

Thanks everyone, for taking a look. I haven't done the double ended crochet, unless it's the same thing with a different name. I have the double ended hooks, but I use the Tunisian or Afghan Stitch to make the graph afghans. And I never use the other side of the hook, once you come to the end of the row, you just slip the stitches off using the hook you came across with. Well, if you weren't confused before, I'm sure I just confused ya! Once I tried it a few times, and took my time reading the instructions...I was like " Ohhhhhh, that's how ya do it!" and it was easy after that!

I understand what you are talking about. I like the plain old crochet hook and even though they say the double ended ones go faster I did not find that to be teh case at all. :?

Love the work that you have done.

Wish I could crochet. I have done quite a few basic blankets for picnics etc but nothing 'correctly' as I taught myself how to do those. My neighbour is nearly 90 and I did ask her to teach me but as she is very deaf and my Spanish is not that good I decided afterwards that it would be too much like hard work for her. She does however call me to her house a few times a year to look at what she has been doing and to give me little crochet mats for my furniture (bless her).

Carrol, that sounds like a cool spiderman blanket! My 5 year old son would probably flip for something like that. Now if only my MIL and I could figure out a time to sit and show me how to crochet with the stuff she bought me 4 Christmases ago... :thinks:

When I learned to crochet I bought a little thin book called 'Crochet Unravelled' by Claire Bojczuk, which was really good. It is very simple and tells you how to do the main stitches and even shows you how to work left handed. There are some easy little patterns in there as well to practice with. It only cost about £6.00

I found this little gem in my local wool shop http://www.modernknitting.co.uk/first-s ... 690-0.html" target="_blank
I only paid £2.50 for it, very dated, but very clear instructions :D
