Help to finish project please

Post by GC-Jen »

Image
Hi There,

I am wanting to finish a cross stitch I started some time ago but have lost the pattern and still have all the outline to finish.

If anyone recognizes it and can give me some help on who to contact for the pattern I would appreciate it - my best friend is about to have her first baby and I would like to finish it for her and bub.

Many thanks, in advance,
Jen

 Hello Jen and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I'm afraid I don't recognize the design you are stitching. Hopefully someone on the forum will be able to help you or have an idea how to find the designer. Perhaps doing a search of the image will give you some clues? Do you remember where you got the pattern? If it was a craft or needlework store they may help. If it was an online shop, you might try looking at their charts or contacting the site.

Good evening Jen,
Looks like maybe it's a Beatrix Potter? If you can remember the year or company (ex Janlynn, HAED, Dimensions) I'm certain you could call them, send them your pic and I bet they could help you in a jiffy. If no luck on first try.... Then plan B is to check ebay. Type in key words like rabbit, bunny, xstitch, couch, Beatrix etc etc.... There will be a plethora of entries. Start by reviewing the ones that have similar characteristics like yours, stitching topography, color ways, simplistic or detailed, etc
That info should be ready to decipher and lead you to your next step.
Follow up on there pattern company, potential pattern names and keep working the internet to drill down (process of elination) until you get to the company. Google Images is also quite helpful when playing detective to find UFOs info.
Wishing you all the best of luck! Keep us posted :) Linda
