Hi, I am new to cross stitching,my name is Sue,I live in western Victoria, Australia I have 4 children,5 if you include the Husband lol, 4 cats, and 2 whippets, and i have come back to cross stitch, i did love it 20 yrs ago..then started to quilt, but cross stitch has I think been my first love, I am in the process of buying a stash, just charts and cottons at the moment..have bought a bit of 18 count aida, and trying to find the courage to start on linen, and smaller counts.

Hello Suzey and welcome to the forum from South Carolina!!! Accruing stash is the second most fun part of stitching! The first part being the stitching of course. Looking forward to seeing your projects. I hope you will post pictures as we love pictures. What types of projects are you stitching?

Hi Sue and Welcome from me in lovely and cool Brisbane so delighted you have joined us.

What part of WA do you live in? I have only 1 son over there now and he lives in Kelmscott a western suburb of Perth. My youngest son was living at Toodyay until recently when he came over here to look for (and found) work. I usually go over to Perth in early October near my GD birthday - she will be 15 this year and is still happy for me to visit.
I still do a little quilting, something I learned about when I moved to Melbourne 11 years ago and loved it but found the standing bending over tables got too much so mostly put it aside.

I look forward to getting to know you and to seeing your work.
