I've been cross-stitching for over 20 years and it never occurred to me to join a forum - this should be great fun!
I've done big projects that I've gotten specially framed, and small projects like the Mill Hill ornaments (those were my passion for Christmas gifts this past year). I even have a project that I've been stitching away at for the past 7 years that I am bound and determined to finish this year! (It's the backstitching, I tell you. Brown on brown is killing me. ) I'll post a picture as soon as I can.
My newest discovery is the qnsap frames. The projects I've done have either been so big they require scrolls, or small enough on perforated paper (love those - make me feel so prolific!). I love finding new ways to spice up my stitching!
I'm thrilled to find others who share my passion, and learn new things along the way.
Thank you for making this a possibility!
Keep up the great work!
Maggie

Hi and Welcome from me too in hot and humid Brisbane it's great that you have found us and joined in.
Your long time project sounds interesting and I am looking forward to seeing pictures of it. I've not used perforated paper not sure I like the idea really, and I find plastic canvas rather hard on the hands. However evenweave and aida along with linen are great.

Welcome from the Wet West of Scotland! I'm so glad you found us. Do have a good tour: we have a pub (the Stash & Grab), a clinic (St Cross Stitchers) and a treehouse out the back, not to mention the ball pool, and Winter Gardens -- perfect for this time of year! I should also warn you that we love to see ... If you want to see what everyone else is working on, do feel free to dive down the rabbit hole known as the SAL thread!
Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I hope that you will show us pictures of your projects and let us encourage you as you make progress. I have several projects that are ongoing for more years than I want to think of, so can certainly relate to your wanting to finish yours. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Been there with the backstitching! One of the best tips I picked up here was to do the backstitching as you go along instead of leaving it to the very end. I always had a hard time figuring out where the stitches were supposed to go, especially in areas where the colors are very similar. Backstitching as I go along just seems to make it feel less daunting. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your work!
