A play about stitching... in prison

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

Just read a review of this - "Stitchers" is a play by Esther Freud based on Lady Anne Tree's setting up of Fine Cell Work which teaches prisoners to stitch. Looks really interesting! It's a shame June is really booked up for us already :-(

Fine Cell Work is such a worthwhile charity -- I just wish it could operate up here in Scotland. The play sounds interesting, and if it raises the profile of FCW, all the better.

I read the introduction, what an amazing woman Lady Anne Tree was!
