current project

PS Added piece of thread to pic so you can see how fine it is altho woollen acrylic. Did not like colour of Aida rustic included in kit so used my own off white. Half cross stitch by leaves is as shown on chart altho it's the opposite way to how I normally stitch

Such pretty colours, and you've made a great start! Is the thread wool instead of stranded cotton?

That's going to be lovely. I like the way the design incorporates half-cross stitch, too.

Fantastic start Cherry! There are many Riolis kits I would like and admire but don't have any in my stash. I adore stitching flowers!

Thank you both. I've amended this 3 times as I left bits out!! Will get used to it.

Yes, fibre is woollen/acrylic. On packet says fibre is Italian altho kit makers are Russian. It has a nice texture to it when stitched but had to undo small number of stitches & found it needs gentler treatment than DMC or Anchor - I do like the result tho - different from cotton threads, not as thick as tapestry yarn obviously but pleasant to look at all the same.

I chose this kit as it is so colourful & am pleased colours are very close to those on packet front. Have 2 more Riolis kits put away. One is the Provence street same as someone else put on here in S&A, that uses Anchor threads. The larger garden kit I have uses acrylic too so will be interesting. Flowers, fruit trees & a rustic Russian house in it. Chose that as it is different to most houses with gardens.

Thank you Nicola, just seen your post

I love pansies...such happy cheerful flowers. My favourite are the yellow and black. I love violas too.

A great design, never tried a Riolis kit...but I have so many 'must-do' kits and charts I think I'll watch yours develop.

I absolutely love your pansies!
I have a few kits by Riolis, some of them including the acrylic thread. I have this one in my pile of WIPs, but it has the ordinary cotton thread.

Thank you all - now done sideways flower top right & continuing middle mauve one. Will then do orangey one top left. Want to see how that looks - hoping it is as colourful as the red :D :D

Latest pic of this beautiful design. I can honestly say I am loving this & look forward to stitching it every evening - even do a few stitches in the day when I can!

I have run out of salmon pink thread & contacted Riolis. Had quick reply from a lovely lady (also a fellow stitcher) who is sending extra thread free of charge. I think I read somewhere on a website write up on Riolis Provence Street the person ran out of a certain thread & was sent more so Riolis are most helpful. Will continue stitching rest of tis & can add other colour in a few weeks when it arrives.

Thanks for looking :D

How much progress you've made!
Good that Riolis is sending you more of the thread you've run out of.

Great progress and what gorgeous colours this one has. Top marks Riolis for sending the extra thread needed AND free of charge too. Must remember that as I have a few of their kits yet to do.
