September Already?
How can that be, it is only a week ago that it was June I am sure. At this rate we will soon se STASHMAS starting up again and we all know what comes after that don't we !!!
I guess I will just have to try and speed up my stitching or another year will have gone by with no Christmas Stockings finished.

Re: September Already?
Sally, you are so right! Who could have thought September would come some day!
With our climate, I would not mind 5 more Junes, and a couple of Julies instead of autumn and especially winter(not so much for the sake of heat as for sunshine to stitch long hours in). Happy stitching!

Re: September Already?
I love September. Love, love, love it. Such a beautiful month in this part of Scotland, changing colours, the garden still producing abundantly, but much of the harvest in (you should SEE our potatoes, garlic and onions... yum). Not too cold, ok it rains a bit (Scotland!), but the quality of the light and the blue skies are a constant reminder of how wonderful life is.
And once we are properly in the middle of the autumn season (meteorologists notwithstanding), I no longer fear the Season Which Usually Must Remain Nameless! Stashmas? Bring it on!

Re: September Already?
time flies by when you are busy, cannot believe it is 9th month already. Where has this year gone? Children go back to school next week so life will be easier now I don't have GC to care for. Enjoy it of course, but it gets tiring towards the end of longest school holiday.
Will stitch something easy before I go back to the mediterranean village. Never got round to showing you a photo of that, very remiss of me. Hope to do better in future.

I rather think many of us are in the same boat about how fast the year is going by us.
Hurray for Stashmas soon to be coming up too.

The children are ready to go back to school now, after their long break. Roll on Stashmas...

Re: September Already?
From my youth I remember a line from a poem of a not very well known Russian poetess which (the line, not the lady) imressed me then and sounds so true now:
Hours pass slowly, it is years that fly away very fast.

Thanks for letting me know about my blog! I had forgotten it was associated with my old Gmail account that got hacked. I certainly have to start a new one!Serinde wrote:Hello, you! You realise you've looked in just in time for... Stashmas....![]()
