this kit came with 18 count aida, is it stitched over 1 thread or 2? instructions don't say

If it was over two, the directions would say that. I googled the design and the picture that popped up is definitely over one.

All the Aida kits I have ever come across have been over one.

With evenweave we go over two, and use the "one" to enable us to do half and quarter stitches.
