Woohoo! I finally finished the piece I was working on for my dad which means I was allowed to start my ballet kit!
Here is the progress so far, after just one day!:
And a pic I took of the kit so you can see what it shall look like when completed:
The second ones not a great pic, but, hey, it's better than nothin'!

Wow...I haven't updated this thread with my progress in awhile. I'm sorry!! I've just been busy fighting my computer not to shut down without warning and whatnot..ugh. Anyway, I've managed to make a bit of progress with the piece:

Everytime I see this pattern I get flooded with fond memories. I once danced in pointe shoes. I still have them too, although they are quite the worse for wear. I didn't have the dedication to stick with it, I prefered going out with my friends and having fun instead of practicing all the time. I'm going to love watching you work on this project.

I love pointe shoes they are so pretty! Heck I kept mine from when I took dance lessons as a child.
This is looking great!

Great progress!
When I moved into my unit I threw out a bag of old pointe shoes and I just threw out another 6 pairs of old pointe shoes on the weekend, but I do still have my very first pair packed away in a box with all my other momentos.

Pretty design
and you've done quite a bit
Keep up the good work!
I really cannot see how anyone can wear pointe shoes and balance on the very tip. It seems impossible to me!
