Im looking to buy evenweave kits or cards.
I want to buy a HAED but need some practice before hand.
Can anyone suggest somewhere I can get some from cheap and they need to accept paypal or postal order.
Thanks in advance
Ann

Have you tried Ebay? There are pages and pages of fabric sellers there and you can pay Paypal
It just takes time to trawl through.

Ann, do they have to be kits or would you be helped with a few pieces of evenweave to use with whatever card-sized charts you've already got? If so, let me know and I could send you some pieces in different counts.

The only reason I said kits is because I havent used evenweave before so would be unsure of how I would convert to evenweave

Well, one symbol (or coloured square) on the chart still represents one cross stitch -- but instead of the stitch covering one block of aida, it goes across 2 threads of the evenweave. There's a picture of it in the glossary thread (you'll have to scroll down a bit). Stitching like this, something done on 28ct evenweave would come out the same size as 14ct aida.
Or if you want to do something on a smaller scale, you can stitch over a single thread, which is what most of the HAED people do; if you start off with 18ct evenweave, the size of the stitches is the same as 18ct aida, but you get used to the look and feel of evenweave.
Hope this helps, and just let me know if you'd like some bits to experiment with.
