Update on hand

I went for x-rays yesterday and they have found out that I have cracked a bone too. They now feel the tendons needs physio but the bone needs a cast so the two consultants came to the discussion I need to wear a splint 24/7 except for my 10 minute physio sessions every other day, I also need weekly x-rays to ensure that this isn't making the bone worse.

Anyway other than that all is fine

Shades of Mrs Lincoln!! Well, I hope all this does the trick. How long in the cast? Long enough to avoid the washing up over the holidays! But hopefully not so long as to drive you into a stitching-deprivation frenzy.

Oh dear! Well I think this means someone else needs to do the cooking for the holidays and you should just be pampered! Feel better and be a good girl about the physio so you can get back to stitching (and typing) soon

So sorry that it doesn't heal as fast as you expected. But how come they didn't notice the cracked bone before?

The doctor already knew I had a tendon problem so when mt wrist started hurting againing he send me for ultrasounds to confirm it was the tendons again. I was only sent for xrays as the pain got worse but the ultrasound showed that the tendons had started to improve

Well I guess a splint is a little better than a cast. At least you can take it off when you want to shower! I hope with that and the physio that you will be feeling better very soon!

Really hope that you get healed up quick. Be good and don't over do with anything. I agree you need some pampering let others do the jobs or just let them wait and take care of that hand.
