Turtwig!

Post by Lizzieh »

Although I need to get on with the Phoenix Fairy I was reading through some old posts last night and saw that threadbear has stitched a pokemon character.

My 8 year old son is the world's biggest fan of them and as a child with Aspergers he can talk for hours about them. SO I didn't find it difficult to find out his favourite and then track down the free charts.

Birthday coming up in February so now have to stitch Turtwig and the two other pokemon characters he evolves into. That is all I know about them!!

This is how far I've got today. Going from the HAED to this is a bit of the ridiculous to the sublime but am enjoying it!

Liz that's wonderful!
I've stitched squirtle and Blastoise and I quite enjoyed them as a change. They had quite a few colour changes in them as well for such small designs, so that kept them interesting.
I might have some more to do yet ... (Eek!)

I'll be cheering you along, like you say, it's a change from the haed, so you might find it fun to do.

Threadbear - I should have said, thanks for drawing my attention to these designs. I had been desperate for ideas for present and I know he will love this. I just hope he doesn't want all the other 493 or however many there are :!:

I think you may well become very busy Liz
My son has Aspergers too, he is nearly 24, and just about to move out with his twin brother into a house they are renting together, I would never have thought it possible a few years ago :D

Niether of my kids every really got in to the pokemon thing. Watched the show once in awhile but never anything serious. They liked Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the very first Power Rangers. This looks like it has lots of colors. Will be very fun to see what it looks like when finished. :D

Yes, it is quite different from a HAED... :-) But I'm sure it will be hugely appreciated -- and it makes a nice change for yourself!

Looks like a nice funny project - I don't know anything about Pokemon, it only arrived here after my daughter was of that age :) - but I am sure it will be much appreciated.

According to the Nintendo wiki page (such wonderfully educational material you can find on the internet!) Turtwig evolves into Grotle, and then into Torterra.

I'm sure your son will absolutely love this and be eternally convinced that his mummy is the best mummy ever.

This is looking fab!
I'm sure he is going to love this one. My youngest was sat here admiring it with me and telling me all about it ... I have a suspicion this is leading on to something ...
