Celebration Sampler SAL

Post by Rose »

I know that CF made a thread up for this but I couldn't find it. I think I need to go to bed I have looked for 3 threads tonight and could not find any of them. :(

So anyway since we are getting so close I thought we could set up and let everyone know how ready we are.

Sunday I went through and decided what colors I was going to change so that the sampler fits my style and color preferance. I have my material and all I have to do is cut it to the correct size, I bought it a bit big. :D I will zigzag the edges so it does not frey. And then figure our what q-snap to use. I am excited to start but Sunday is Super Bowl XLIII. So I will have to stitch early so I can really watch the game.

Is everyone else ready to start?

i can start on sunday..so that means the rest of the week and next week i have to stitch about 6 more rows to complete page2 of my Castle...
so we should all start on monday..and post our progress once a week? like every monday before we start stitching again, post a progress pic?

how do you want to do this?

Yes I am definitely in this SAL thanks to Dawn sending me the magazine. Have sorted out all that is necessary and ready to go. Like the idea of a weekly update too.

I have everything ready to start at any time. I might look at the color choices again, but I'm not sure. I can go with whatever everyone wants to do with starting date and updates.

Goodness..I better get cracking. I haven't bought thread or fabric yet. I did get the pattern (thank you dawn). I'll try to get over to the craft store before this weekend. I've been wanting to get another qsnap too so maybe I will grab one of those this weekend. I've got all sorts of 40% off coupons :)

I am very happy to do a weekly up-date. That is how I like to share my big projects. I really should get another Q-snap also. :thinks: Wonder if Micheal's or Joann's have them in stock, I will have to look Saturday.

I'm really looking forward to pulling up the magic bench and watching this one! It's going to be so interesting to see how everyone interprets it and how alike or different they are when complete.

I am all set for tomorrow. I cut the fabric and stitched the edges. I put it in the new q-snap I have my X on the top so I know which way is up.

And then here are the threads for all of the changes.

I've changed a few colors, too. My only insecurity with this is that I've decided to stitch it on a piece of 28 ct linen I have, and I haven't used linen before. I'm hoping I'm happy with the results. :x:
