I ACTUALLY HAVE TWO QUESTIONS. IS THERE A FLOSS THAT IS AS PRETTY AS METALLIC WITHOUT THE FRUSTRATION OF METALLIC? ALSO, THE PATTERN I'M GETTING READY TO START TELLS ME TO USE CROSS-HATCHED LINES IN ONE AREA. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IS MEANT BY CROSS-HATCHED LINES.
THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE,
RITA

There are many different kinds of metallics, which kinds have you used? Have you tried to use Thread Heaven with your metallics it is very good for that type of stitching.
I have been googling for cross-hatched stitch but I have not found anything that is of much help.

Rainbow gallery petite treasure braid metallic is wonderful to use. The price is a bit steep, but it is stress free when you stitch with it.
Can't help with Cross hatched lines as I've never heard of it. Sorry.

I think I have come across the word "cross-hatching" to mean half cross stitch. Is there a picture with the chart from which you can see what it might be?
