Hello from Illinois USA!
Hi! I've been cross stitching for about 30 years now, and I love it! I wish I had more hours in the day to stitch. I'm looking forward to getting to know fellow stitchers!

Welcome from the damp and drizzly West of Scotland. Where in the Land of Lincoln do you live? (PS, Happy birthday to the Great Emancipator: 200 years!!) We love newbies here, so jump right in, and we are, umm, nosey, too...

Re: Hello from Illinois USA!
Hi, Serinde! I'm from the central part of Illinois, and yes, we are having quite a few Lincoln birthday celebrations around here today.
I'm very fortunate to live fairly close to our state capital of Springfield where we have an awesome Lincoln museum.
I work as a secretary for a community college. I love stitching (of course!), traveling, stitching, cooking, stitching, gardening, stitching, reading, stitching, movies (did I mention stitching?).
I belong to a local stitching group which meets once a week - we have about 20 members. I'm currently working on a couple of WIPs for a competition that our club is holding.
Are you located in the Highlands of Scotland? I would love to visit there again someday! Thanks for the greetings! Have a great day (or evening in your case, I guess
).

Hello and welcome from a Hoosier neighbor! What do you enjoy stitching? Do you prefer large or small projects? Do you have any favorite designers? In case you haven't heard, we are a little nosey around here.

Hi, neighbor!
I guess I mainly stitch smaller projects, but right now I'm working on a couple of bigger projects as gifts for special people in my life. It's taking me awhile to get them finished!
I mainly stitch with DMC but just recently finished a small project with the dyed threads. I really enjoyed working with them. I'll try to post a picture soon. I enjoy working on most fabrics although I seem to be doing alot on Aida lately.
Have an awesome day over there in Hoosier land!

Hello and welcome
I prefer to stitch small things although I have done one or two larger ones recently, however not as large as some on here do

Hello and welcome to the forum! Like you I mainly do smallish projects but occasionally larger ones as gifts -- although I usually can't wait to get back to the small projects again
. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your WIPs, especially the Anne of Green Gables one, I used to love those books and the series!
