I'm doing mine on 14ct white aida and using black DMC with a silver blending filament. Or thats what I am trying, if not i'll just stick with black DMC

Kins, I think the silver and black sound lovely, but here's another idea rather than just DMC alone if you don't end up liking it. I used a black metallic once with plain DMC black (in my black rose avator infact) and it gave a lovely shiny, almost glistening effect.

Pink silk will stand out beautifully on the black aida Lisa, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the silk.

Am really looking forward to you both starting these now.

I have this one earmarked but you will have to start without me I'm afraid as I really can't have another UFO.
I will be using black aida too and will be doing it in a greeny-blue colour with a Kreinik "Peacock" blending filament.
Meg, another peacock-a-holic, welcome to the club!

I have been working on this alot today, it says this is an advanced stitch and I can see why not, so many fractional stitches lol, its my first time doing anything like this but I find myself getting drawn in because its a challenge
