You must see how gorgeous he is

Post by K1nS »

This is Soxs, he lives in a field which is at the end of Dean's mums garden (which you can walk to!) I LOVE horses and I feel sorry for this one, his owner has now grown up and got children of her own so she doesn't spend any time with him anymore. He gets fed by her father so thats the only time he gets any attention.

We had our tea outside this afternoon with us having the lovely weather  So decided to take him some bread

He looks so sad. Why doesn't the owner bring her children down to see him, I can not understand how some people can break off all emotional ties with a animal they have had for years

Thats my thoughts exactly :x It makes me sick how some people can do this... we try to go to him as often as we can, I feel so sorry for him being stuck in that field all day on his own

He is gorgeous, I love horses and would love another myself but know I could never afford one. I would be there every day feeding him over the fence etc. Such a shame his owner doesn't involve her children in his upkeep.

He's adorable!
Hopefully you'll be able to visit him alot when you move. I do wonder though, that they don't find him another home, you know, for his sake. So that he gets someone spending time with him, riding him and giving him the love he deserves.

I know that there is animal control and what-not here that we can call when we know of an abused or neglected animal. I would say, based on your post, it is time to find something like that. Horses need the attention, not just the food. It is horrible that his owners would be so cruel.

Poor old lad! I hope he's not still shod or he'll get real problems with his hooves! That head collar looks a bit snug too! I hope that the father does more than feed that lovely animal!! How much can one interfere I wonder if he's not totally neglected!!

BTW Apples and carrots would be a better tit-bit than bread.
Sorry! I used to have a couple of horses myself, one was mine and the other my daughters so I get a bit irate when I see animals neglected!! :x

I really get frustrated when I see an animal being needlessly neglected.
They should lock up the owner, throw away the key, and give them the same neglect that they've given this poor animal :x

 to K1nS for helping out !

he is lovely i must say his field looks clean no sign off droppings or ragwort which both if left can be bad for the health of the horse

Aw he's gorgeous. I love horses, but I'm a little bit scared of them (fell off one when I was small!). I'd still be brave and look after him if he was near me.
