Well, as I've already posted in one or two other threads, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a freebie DMC chart of a leopard this past week...
This chart is entirely generated with full stitches, so I'll be using it as an occasional break from the detailed work on my Evening Star project (regular use of squashed, half and three quarter stitches)
I scanned the cover, so here's what the finished project should look like....

I'm hoping to prepare the aida, threads and a working copy of the chart tomorrow, and maybe start some stitching over the next couple of days.
I'm starting to find that I have an increasing amount of unfinished projects, or even finished ones that just haven't been framed yet. I really must get organised and fully complete my work
I know the feeling. I can never wait to start one that I really like. I also have loads of half way throughs and some packed away that aren't framed, who cares? lol

I'm at work today and don't have my needle and threads etc, but it's been quiet so far, so I've managed to make a "working copy" (photocopy) of the chart ready for marking off my progress.
I've also got a large piece of 18ct Aida and my gridding pen with me, so I'll be measuring and gridding the material ready to start stitching at home, either tonight or tomorrow.
(I'll also need to check for any missing colours in my stash when I get home tonight. There's 25 colours on the chart, but I've certainly got enough of the colours to keep me going until I can add to my stash )

I've made an amount of progress on this one - I'll post a piccy or two as soon as I can. I've also picked up 20 skeins of thread from my local stash shop today, so should be able to make more progress on it.
(However you should also bear in mind that I need to get some hours in to my Evening Star project too, cos that one is on a deadline, for the F-I-L's birthday)
I love leopards, not just because of their colouring, but I really like thier... what? personality?? oh, I don't know, just really like them, Leopards and meerkats have to be my most favourite African animals, looking forward to your updates.
