Poppies

Post by Rose »

Not started the stitching yet but I did get all of the thread together, zigzagged the edges of the fabric. Made a working copy of the pattern and I hope to get a few stitches in tonight. We are suppose to have company for dinner tonight though so not sure how this is going to go as far as my stitching time.

I love poppies! Can we see what the design will look like (please?), or are you going to do this as a mystery stitch for us :-)?

This is the pattern that Kell passed on to me :D

Image

And this is the start I was able to do last night after our dinner guest was taken care of. The picture does not show it off well but the fabric is a very pretty minty green color.

Image

Should go rather quickly as there is a lot of half stitching of the grass and background then once it is stitched I am going to stitch the Poem Flanders Field over top of the poppies.

Well it was being a bit bad. I had printed out the pattern to mark it but I could only get it one size larger. The symbols were very small and I was frogging just about everything I worked because the count was off. So last night I asked hubby what I had done wrong and he put it through the enlargement program and blew it up for me now I can actually see the squares and I am getting on much better. I hope to have a full day of stitching today so I will take pictures tomorrow and show some progress.
