Argh! I nearly wet myself with fright with that pic of the 8-leggedy beastie!

I've never used photo cross stitch software, so I'm afraid I can't help, but I know some others on here will be able to recommend something. :D

If you look at the top of this page you will see a thread named "Pattern Making Programs" this will give you some good advise on different programs.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

Some of them have free trials Ally, so you could download and see how you get on with them. :)

I have tried the trial version of PM stitch maker and it worked very well. The full program allowes you many more options of course. Happy stitching! :)

*cries hysterically and runs away from the spider*

I like your horsie though. I'm too scared to scroll down again though to reccommend a picture *whimpers* I remember SammyV had a good software...I can't remember what it was though.

Angel isn't very helpful I'm afraid

If you look in my gallery you will see a x-stitch I did from a photo of Sylvia. I used 'Jane Greenhoff Gold' program. I have done other x-stitches from photos and produced charts for others.

In this program you can choose maximum colours you want to use, size of project and what silks you want to use, DMC, Anchor, Maderia. It took a little while to learn how to navigate, but it gives you everything you will need to print a chart and list the silks you require.

When I did this one of Sylvia it is very true to the original pic, my D-in-Laws first comment was 'That is uncanny'.

I found this one online, and I'm currently working a picture that I charted using it, maybe I'll do some photos tomorrow. It's free and you can try a number of different options to come up with the result you want.
