littlemonkey81's SAL

Post by littlemonkey81 »

I haven't posted here much yet but thought I'd start my own SAL thread so I can see how well I'm progressing with my current projects! I have two main ones on the go at the moment, one in London where I live which I'm hoping to finish in time to give to my sister for Christmas, and the other I leave in my parents' house and work on when I visit.

My main one is this:

Image

And this is how far I've got (taken earlier this week):

And the one I'm working on today at my parents' is this:

Image

And this is how far I'd got yesterday (I've done a bit more since this was taken):

So loads more to do on both! I'd better go and stitch some more lily pads now til I get bored of green...

PS. Sorry if I've posted the pictures wrong or too big etc... I'm not entirely sure how to do it!

Both are lovely projects. I keep looking a the "dictionary" ones as there are a few in the series and they are a bit of fun, I like the tea one, they also have the bra and cake ones - I might yet be tempted! Great progress so far :applesauce:

I have to say I'm really enjoying the tea project - I've been doing the backstitch as I go along so it's not quite as daunting! I want to get the cake one for myself...

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great projects! I love the dictionary of cakes pattern that they have! Too bad they're so expensive! I'd love to do it since my mom and I have been decorating cakes for about 19 years.

Really impressive stitching!! :applesauce: In your first dictionary pic of your work, I almost thought it was non-counted (looked like it had been silk-screened onto the fabric) How precise and neat!!

A brief update:
I'm still really enjoying the Dictionary of Tea - it's so satisfying to finish each little picture and see it grow that way. I'm finding the lily pad one a bit boring at the moment though :? I think it's because it's just blocks of one colour; I just keep reminding myself that it should look good when it's finished! :D

Here is where I am up to:
