Simple but Good Cross stitch program

Post by lady_jodie »

Is there a program that can take a drawing of mine or a pic and turn it into a chart? I would like to find something that generates a good quality chart but is easy to use. I would prefer a free program but would be willing to check out a reasonably priced one as well.

If you look in the Tips & Tricks section, you'll find a couple of threads that might help you. Most include useful URLs, too, which (with luck) will still be up and running.
Good luck.

I got PCStitch yesterday. I installed it and gave it a quick look through. It seems like a really great program. Now all I have to do is get my design graphic finished so I can get it converted to a chart.

I trying to find a nice decent sized graphic of the Budweiser bowtie and I am going to put my last name Burdette across it in the Budweiser font and put the word Billiard below it in an ornate font.

This is will be my first unique design for cross stitch. I have done alot of graphic design over the years but never converted one to be sewen.

PC stitch is great but sometimes a bit complicated to get the right resolution...
