I have now started my very first HAED.
A few weeks ago I had not even heard of them (I blame you lot !)
I had only Anchor threads when I started preparing so I had to translate all of the thread colours (90+) from DMC
I decided to use 18 count DMC magic guide premarked Aida to make life easier for me.
I also blew up the chart so that each original page was split over 2 A4 sheets to make it easier to follow.
I have got on quite well so I will post my first update soon !
Wish me luck
Kerry

This is a really pretty one, will be good to watch and also to see how the DMC/Anchor conversion turns out
Hmm how long before you are tempted by another HAED chart... and another... and another.......

Much though I like following the progress on the fantasy HAEDs, these flowers are much more the sort of thing I'd do myself, so it will be wonderful to watch this grow!

I also had never heard of HAEDs until I came to this forum. When I checked out the designs the Iris bowled me over. So far, just dreaming about it but will love to follow your progress. The fantasy designs leave me cold.
I work with only Anchor so I do a lot of transposing.

Thanks guys I'm also not so keen on the fantasy designs as they are not the sort of thing that I would hang in my home, but I liked the idea of a HAED design so I chose this one.
It is hard going though so I will probably do a page at a time with other projects inbetween so this topic may be a long one !

I agree, although I can't see me ever doing one, flowers or not, but I do love this one.

Me too. When I joined the forum it took me a couple of days to find out what HAED meant!
I love this Iris design.
